Workshop discusses ethics, transparency and compliance

The Center for Ethics, Transparency, Integrity and Compliance Studies (FGVEthics) will be holding, on May 21, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the “Workshop Ética, transparência e compliance” (“Ethics, transparency and compliance workshop”). The event, which will be held at the FGV Hall (Rua Itapeva, 432, Bela Vista, São Paulo, SP) also marks the launch of the special issue of the GV-Executive magazine on the topic.

The workshop will be opened by professors Ligia Maura Costa, Coordinator of FGVethics, and Maria José Tonelli, Editor-in-Chief of the GV-Executive magazine. Following that, the international guest Thomas Schürrle, Managing Partner of the law firm Debevoise & Plimptom, will be giving a lecture entitled “Caveats, advantages and drawbacks to start an independent investigation and self-report proceeding with international authorities such as SFO, DOJ and SEC.”

After the session of questions and answers with the guest, the roundtable “Ética, Transparência e Compliance: Desafios e Oportunidades” (“Ethics, Transparency and Compliance: Challenges and Opportunities”) will be held, with the participation of Carlo Verona, Demarest Advogados; Luciana Betiol, FGV EAESP; Leopoldo Pagotto, Freitas Leite; Andrea Mustafa, City Council of Sao Paulo; Marcos Fernandes, FGV EAESP; and Alex Borges, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
