Yellow September: FGV hosts suicide prevention event
FGV will host the event “Yellow September – For the appreciation of life” on September 4 and 5 to raise the public’s awareness regarding the importance of creating spaces to discuss and share information about suicide. The event will be held at FGV’s Main Office (Praia de Botafogo,186/190 – Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro/RJ).
On the first day, participants will discuss “Anxiety, Depression, Medicalization and Suicide Prevention” at FGV’s Cultural Center, starting at 2 p.m. Among the panelists are psychologist Patrícia Barreto, psychiatrist Chrispim de Lima, and the spokesperson and regional coordinator of the Center for Appreciation of Life (CVV), Maria das Graças Araújo. FGV professor Marieta de Moraes Ferreira will lead the panel. An exhibition will be held at FGV’s Pilotis on September 5, starting at 10 a.m., with booths for the Medical Service, the Center for Appreciation of Life (CVV), SOS Jovem and Shakti Saúde e Saber.
FGV’s “Yellow September” event is an initiative of the Center for Educational Support (NAP) of FGV’s Operations Division (DO), conceived for students and professors from FGV’s undergraduate and graduate courses, employees and guests.
