FGV Annual Report

With the aim of providing complete transparency on the key activities and achievements of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) throughout each year, the Annual Report is available for the national and international community to access information regarding FGV’s numbers, academic output, schools, centers, and units, as well as articles on relevant socioeconomic issues.

  • 1944 - Decree Law No. 6693 on the creation of FGV.
  • 1950 - Nova Friburgo College inaugurated by FGV, which closed in 1977.
  • 1952 - Annual General Meeting in which Luiz Simoes Lopes was re-elected as president of FGV.
  • 1959 - Construction of FGV’s main office, in Botafogo.
  • 1961 - Original project for FGV’s main office, by Oscar Niemeyer, published in the magazine ‘Módulo’.
  • 1965 - Construction of Edifício John Fitzgerald Kennedy, where FGV’s Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) is based.
  • 1967 - Board of Directors meeting.
  • 1968 - Speech at the inauguration of FGV's main office, given by Luiz Simões Lopes.
  • 1972 - Mario Henrique Simonsen Library (BMHS) at FGV.
  • 1973 - FGV’s central data processing unit.
  • 1980 - 10th meeting of FGV's Board of Donors.
  • 1985 - Commemorative Medal of the National Library granted to FGV.
  • 1986 - Inauguration of the Eugênio Gudin Auditorium at FGV.
