Applied Research and Knowledge Network

The Applied Research and Knowledge Network began its activities in 2014, with the objective of systematizing the knowledge produced by the Applied Research Centers of the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), encouraging the production and dissemination of applied research, connecting researchers and giving visibility to the results obtained. In line with FGV's mission, the Network's also aims to stimulate the production of content that generates social impact and contributes to the socioeconomic development of the country, to the improvement of national ethical standards, and to responsible and shared governance.

The Network is also responsible for the Ethical Compliance Committee on Research Involving Human Beings at Fundação Getulio Vargas (CEPH), a collegiate body of advisory, deliberative and educational character, invested with the competence to assess potential impacts on human beings who participate as subjects of research in social and human sciences. CEPH has the responsibility of defending the interests of research participants in their integrity and dignity, as well as promoting and safeguarding the highest standards of ethical and legal compliance of research involving human subjects by members of the institution.
