CERI
Center for Regulation and Infrastructure Studies
In a context where there are many challenges in regulation and governance, CERI provides Brazilian society data and analyses for the best possible understanding of the infrastructure sectors. Aiming to align all of the institution’s available resources at FGV, the Center is a reference as a think tank for regulated sectors of the infrastructure industry.
The Center relies on an interdisciplinary team of economists, lawyers and institutional experts, which has significantly contributed to improving the understanding of the role of governance in state companies. The Center has also analyzed the impact of privatization on the quality of services, the degree of improvement of the decision-making process by regulatory agencies, and other sectors of relevance connected to economic growth in Brazil.
CERI has also expanded its influence to other countries in Latin America, becoming an important mediator in the region’s discussion of infrastructure.
