The opening ceremony will be led by the director of EBAPE’s Center for Excellence and Innovation in Education Policies (CEIPE), Claudia Costin. After the opening event, the lecturers will then take the stage. Júlio de Freitas, current Secretary of SECADI (Secretariat of Continuing Education, Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion of the Brazilian Ministry of Education – MEC) will talk about Amazonas. Haroldo Costa, Secretary of Education of Espírito Santo, will present the state’s public management approach adopted in recent years. Ivo Gomes, Mayor of Sobral, will also show how the city became a benchmark in education.
After each presentation, the lecturers will answer questions posed by GloboNews reporter Mariana Queiroz, who will mediate the event.
Finally, the director of CEIPE and all three guests will discuss the role of public managers working under civil service in all three cases.
