The initiative, led by Columbia University's Center on Global Economic Governance (CGEG) in conjunction with Columbia Global Centers in Paris, Beijing and Rio de Janeiro, has been developed in response to the global financial crisis of the past decade and the challenges facing Europe, East Asia and Latin America. This year, participants will discuss what the role of the state should be, given the political and economic changes experienced in Brazil and globally.
