The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the importance of health literacy for the population to make informed decisions about their health. However, the level of health literacy in the population is relatively unknown, as there are still no indicators that can provide policymakers in the health sector with evidence of the main deficiencies and where the government needs to act to better serve and understand the population.
Therefore, the FGV EPPG webinar in February 2024 will present the results of research conducted by the Experimental Laboratory for Public Policies (LAB LEPP), measuring health literacy in the population of the Federal District. Results related to health literacy, mental health literacy, environmental health literacy, and digital health literacy will be presented.
To enrich the discussion, we have the presence of the Leader of the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Health Literacy (GIPELS), Katarinne Moraes, to contribute her perspectives on the topic, with moderation by LAB LEPP Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Benjamin Tabak.
