2022 University Guide: FGV undergraduate courses among best in Brazil
FGV has more courses with maximum possible score than any other private sector institution.

Five Fundação Getulio Vargas undergraduate courses were awarded the maximum possible score in the 2022 University Guide. This guide, published annually by Quero Educação and O Estado de S. Paulo, gave five stars to FGV EBAPE’s administration course, FGV EAESP’s public administration and business administration courses, FGV EESP’s economics course and FGV EMAp’s applied mathematics course. Out of all private sector institutions, FGV had the highest proportion of evaluated courses with the maximum score (56%).
“FGV is proud to be a private sector institution of excellence that carries out world-class education and research activities. It also strives to attract talented members of vulnerable groups, offering scholarships for undergraduate and graduate courses, in order to promote Brazil’s socioeconomic development,” says Professor Antonio Freitas, FGV’s Provost for Education, Research and Graduate Studies.
More than 17,000 undergraduate courses were evaluated for the 2022 University Guide, using a peer assessment methodology. This involved collecting the opinions of thousands of professors who work in higher education in Brazil, to evaluate courses based on criteria such as quality of education approach, faculty and infrastructure.
This year’s ranking was based on assessments by more than 10,000 higher education coordinators and professors, who signed up voluntarily to act as evaluators for the University Guide. These professionals were asked to give scores to courses in their fields of activity and institutions located in the same region.
