Academia and professionals debate manager training challenges at event
FGV’s National School of Management and Economics (ENAE) will host the 28th National Meeting of Undergraduate Administration Courses (ENANGRAD) from August 26-28, in Brasilia. Featuring the theme ‘Innovative learning methodologies and their relationship with the world of work – challenges for the transformation of a culture’, the event will gather students, industry managers, and some of the country’s leading professors and researchers.
According to the event coordinator and deputy dean of ENAE, Professor Edson Kondo, “ENANGRAD provides an opportunity for scholars to discuss, share experiences, and address ways to keep improving the Administration and Management teaching quality standard in Brazil”.
The event includes educational workshops, presentations of scientific and applied papers, as well as panels featuring major monikers of education in the country, such as Maria Inês Fini, President of the Anísio Teixeira National Institute of Educational Studies and Research (Inep); Paulo Barone, Head of the Department of Higher Education (SESU); Henrique Sartori, Head of the Department of Higher Education Regulation and Supervision (Seres) of the Ministry of Education (MEC); Mário César Barreto Moraes, member of the National Committee for the Assessment of Higher Education (CONAES); and Antônio de Araújo Freitas, member of the National Council of Education (CNE) and dean of FGV.
The event will include the launch of the Council of Executives of the National Association of Undergraduate Administration Courses (ANGRAD). “In addition to ANGRAD getting closer to public entities, Agencies, State Institutions, and other Associations, such as ANPAD and ABED, the creation of the Council of Executives is a legacy that brings together the business market and academia,” said Henrique Heidtmann Neto, professor at FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) and President of ANGRAD.
The Council of Executives will comprise Sylvia Coutinho, CEO of UBS Group in Brazil; Luis Norberto Paschoal, President of D’Paschoal; Chieko Aoki, President of BlueTree Hotels; Roberto Medeiros, President of Multiplus; Rachel Maia, CEO of Pandora; and José Mário Caprioli, President of Azul Linhas Aéreas.
The event will include the launch of the ANGRAD award ceremony, acknowledging innovative work of Administration educational intuitions across the country, as well as their leaders, managers, professors, and students. The award will feature two categories – ‘Innovative teaching and learning experiences’ and ‘Strategic reflections’ –, featuring an e-book compiling all awarded experiences.
