Accessibility tools promote inclusion of students on FGV’s online platforms
FGV Executive Education, in partnership with EqualWeb, is providing its online course students will a plugin to enable various accessibility resources. This technology is designed to assist people with poor eyesight, color blindness and other visual impairments, people with motor disabilities, and senior citizens who find it hard to use the internet. The plugin has been available since May 3 for the paid and free online courses on FGV Executive Education’s website. It can also be found on the Students’ Portal and in the eClass system for FGV Executive Education’s courses.
The tool’s main functionalities include screen reader adjustments, keyboard and numeric navigation, elimination of brightness variations, contrast adjustments, a text reader, voice command, color and font customization, line and word spacing adjustment, an enlarged cursor, zoom and magnifying glass features, highlighted links and headers, and a virtual keyboard.
It is worth mentioning that the process of producing captions for all video classes is also under way, for both paid and free online courses, in order to help people with hearing impairments as well.
