“Amazon Dialogues” series holds webinar about green economy’s potential

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding another webinar in the “Amazon Dialogues” series, this time about the green economy’s potential. The speaker will be Rodrigo Rollemberg, the secretary for the green economy, decarbonization and bioindustry at the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on June 5, at 7 pm.

The Brazilian Amazon is at the center of some major debates, including about sustainable socioeconomic development models for the region. This event, moderated by Professor Márcio Holland, the coordinator of FGV’s Finance and Economics Master’s Program, and Professor Daniel Vargas, the coordinator of FGV’s Bioeconomy Observatory and FGVAgro’s research coordinator, will debate the importance of science, technology and innovation strategy to build a development model in line with the region’s natural potential and the economic decarbonization agenda.

The event is part of the Amazon Dialogues, a digital platform to discuss topics related to sustainable socioeconomic development in the Brazilian Amazon with the whole of organized civil society.
