Ambassador Derek Shearer comments on the U.S. elections in a meeting at FGV
Today, FGV welcomes U.S. Ambassador, Derek Shearer, for a lecture on U.S. Elections: What's at stake?, organized by the International Relations Center. Shearer is a Diplomacy and International Affairs professor at Occidental College and has served in the U.S. department of commerce during the Clinton administration. He was also a member of the American diplomatic corps and foreign policy adviser to Al Gore and Hillary Clinton. Currently, the Ambassador collaborates with newspapers The New York Times, International Herald Tribune and Wall Street Journal. The professor Elena Lazarou will mediate the meeting, which will be delivered in English. The lecture U.S. Elections: What's at stake? happens at 2 p.m. in room 1027 of the Foundation's headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.
