ANPEC 2022: FGV students are among best performers in National Selection Exam

Students at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) and Brazilian School of Economics and Finance in Rio de Janeiro (FGV EPGE) excelled in the 2022 National Selection Exam held by the National Association of Graduate Economics Centers (ANPEC). The top slot was taken by FGV EESP’s Otavio Tecchio.
More than 1,000 students took part in this edition of the exam, which is one of the most fiercely contested in Brazil. It is used by the country’s leading economics schools to select candidates for their master’s courses.
FGV EESP students Gustavo Moherdaui, Guilherme Luz, Bruno Campos, Pedro Moraes and Lucas Kimura also performed outstandingly in the 2022 ANPEC Exam, in which nearly 1,000 students competed to attend the country’s best economics master’s courses. In particular, Otavio, Gustavo and Guilherme came first, fifth and eighth, respectively.
At FGV EPGE, the best performers were Diogo Wolff, João Victor dos Santos, Renan Moraes, João Pedro da Silva, Helena Zahar and Marcos Duarte, who kept up the school’s long-standing level of excellence in the exam. In the last six years, more than 23% of FGV EPGE’s undergraduate students taking ANPEC’s exam have come in the top 10.
FGV’s applied economics courses are outstanding, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The objective of these courses is to contribute to education and the expansion of knowledge in the field of economics, thereby boosting Brazil’s economic and social development.
