Archives ranking puts FGV Library System in Brazilian top five

The FGV Library System is ranked among the top five Brazilian archives in the 2020 Web Ranking of Repositories, in the institutional repositories category. FGV is the only private sector organization in the top 10.

The ranking’s objective is to support open access initiatives and consequently free access to scientific publications in electronic format and other academic materials. The ranking assesses criteria such as scientific archives’ global visibility and impacts.

The FGV Digital Library was created in 2008 with the goal of preserving Fundação Getulio Vargas’ scientific output and promoting its national and international visibility. It now has four different channels: FGV Scientific Journals; FGV Academic Institutional Repository; Databases; and Collections and E-Books.
