BNDES managers take part in international executive management program

In September, the International Masters Program for Managers (IMPM), represented in Brazil by FGV EBAPE, began Module 25 in McGill University, Montreal, Canada. The program, co-founded by Henry Mintzberg, involves five international education institutions and experienced managers and leaders around the world who reflect on their insights, based on the Action Learning methodology.

For a period of 12 days, executives from many countries participated in immersive classes and learning visits to selected organizations in Montreal. They included two managers at Brazil’s national development bank, BNDES: human resources director Rodrigo Donato Aquino and executive director Marcelo Sampaio Vianna Rangel. During the module, the participants were supported by McGill University staff.

IMPM encourages collective learning through dialogue between experience and academic knowledge in individual, collective and organizational transformations. The 18-month program is divided into five modules carried out at some of the world’s leading business education institutions: FGV EBAPE in Brazil, coordinated by Professor Alexandre Faria; Lancaster University in England; McGill University in Canada; Yokohama National University in Japan; and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in India.
