The Project coordinator of FGV Projetos, Ronnie Lins, was invited by the government of the People's Republic of China to attend an interview on the International Radio of China (CRI), in Beijing.  Ronnie provides technical support to the communication agency - one of the main media channels of the Chinese government.

At the opportunity, Ronnie Lins made a presentation on the structure of Fundação Getulio Vargas, focusing on aspects relating to its academic units, projects and specially the consolidation of FGV as one of the best think tanks in the world.

Ronnie Lins also pointed out the main obstacles and opportunities between Brazil and China with regard to strengthening and increasing bilateral trade and direct investments from both countries.

Questioned about his knowledge about the Chinese culture, the coordinator stated that it is the result of a great deal of admiration for the country. My appreciation for China made me learn mandarin reasonably well, play traditional Chinese instruments, and learn about aspects of the historical development of China, he told the radio station.

The researcher also advised young Chinese to not let themselves be too impressed by western culture and customs. The Chinese culture is five thousand years old and is of the greatest heritages of humanity, he said.

The CRI program with Ronnie Lins was recorded on October 21st.
