Brazil’s best CEOs studied at FGV, Forbes finds

For the third time, Forbes Brasil has selected the country’s best CEOs. These executives were chosen due to their ability to reinvent their companies, withstand crises and grow amid adversities. Of the 15 selected CEOs, seven studied at FGV.

The magazine used a value creation methodology, filtering publicly traded companies in line with their financial results between 2010 and 2017. Last year’s financial statements were also evaluated, to identify more recent consistency.

In accordance with the stipulated criteria, companies whose CEOs were appointed in 2018 or 2019 were excluded from the analysis, to ensure a link between value created at the companies and their CEOs in the period in question. In the case of women, given their low participation in executive positions in Brazil, the main criterion used was how well known they are.

The list was compiled by Forbes in partnership with FGV’s C-Level Program. You can read all the success stories here.
