CADE launches collection of articles
On May 26, the Brazilian Antitrust Regulatory Agency (CADE) launched a collection of articles called “Economic Law and Antitrust Measures.” The publication contains scientific papers written by CADE employees, compiled through a partnership between the agency and FGV.
The 31-article, three-volume publication encompasses theoretical studies, case studies and analysis of two key antitrust areas: the health market and the digital economy.
This collection of articles is the result of work produced by students graduating from the 2020 MBA in Competition Defense and Economic Law, coordinated by Professor Gesner Oliveira and delivered by FGV In Company. Sixteen subjects were taught, designed especially for CADE’s needs as part of joint efforts to broaden research horizons. “Continued study, which resulted in this highly mature research, further improves our ability to create value for the country and act as a leader for other sectors of Brazilian society, while becoming progressively better prepared and able to meet the high national and international standards required of CADE,” said Alexandre Barreto, the agency’s president.
According to the executive director of FGV In Company, João Lins Pereira Filho, “there is no doubt that CADE is an example to be followed in terms of valuing and investing in the development of its employees, to enable the agency to meet its long-term strategic objectives.”
