Courses certified by FGV receive maximum accreditation in Enade

15 higher education institutions that offer Administration and Economics courses certified by Fundação Getulio Vargas were granted the maximum grade (5) in the National Examination of Student Performance (Enade), carried out by the Ministry of Education (MEC) with the objective of assessing the performance of undergraduate students in Brazil. Four other certified courses remained with grade 4 - the highest grades of the state in which they are inserted.More than an official accreditation, the excellent results achieved by the courses certified by FGV add value to the professional training of their students, who enter the labor market with a competitive differentiator, says the director of FGV Management, Professor Mario Pinto. Also according to him, the benefit of such recognition goes beyond personal gains. This actually generates a transformation capacity not only for the life of the students, but also for the region in which they are inserted and society as a whole. We are talking about places in Brazil's countryside. And this is fantastic, he celebrates. The certification program was created in 2005 in order to spread the knowledge produced at FGV's Schools and research centers also on an undergraduate level, relying, for this purpose, on a network of autonomous institutions that accredit and guarantee the required quality pre-requisites. FGV provides didactic material, curriculum structure, syllabus and educational content, and it helps evaluate the subjects. For the superintendent of the Quality Certification Program, Paulo Sérgio Coelho, a good evaluation in Enade is a sign that the initiative is working. This year's success is a recurrence of what happened in the other Enade, in 2009, which shows the results of this knowledge diffusion model, he believes. And this is part of FGV's mission and its social function. With this certification, we take a high end undergraduate education to cities of all regions in Brazil, he concludes. Please click here to learn more about FGV's Quality Certification Program (page in Portuguese).
