CPDOC debates democracy at conference in Indonesia

The 2nd Meeting of Carnegie Rising Democracies took place in Bali last week and was attended by international experts in global governance, human rights and political regimes.

The coordinator of the School of Social Sciences/CPDOC in São Paulo and the assistant professor of International Relations, Oliver Stuenkel, were in Indonesia for the 2nd Meeting of Carnegie Rising Democracies - a conference organized by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Institute for Peace and Democracy.Oliver Stuenkel spoke about the theme Brazil's approach to Democracy and Rights promotion, addressing Brazil's role in ensuring human rights and the strengthening of democracies in Latin America.Around the world, there is an increasingly visible thought that Brazil is responsible for human rights defense and democracy in South America.
