DAPP reaches the finals of the Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial

FGV?s Public Policy Analysis Division (DAPP) participated in the shortlist of the 11th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial, held by the Brazilian Association of Graphic Designers (ADG, acronym in Portuguese), which took place from October 31 to November 8, and highlighted the country's best design work.The data visualization works ? Mosaico Orçamentário (Mosaic Budget), Geologia Orçamentária (Budget Geology), Pulso do País (The Pulse of the Country) and Monitor de Temas (Issues Monitor) ? were nominated in the Web Design category. The DAPP Journal for Strategic Studies competed in the Graphic Design Magazine category.Developed by DAPP, the data visualization work was also part of the exhibition that highlighted the best works at Espaço Ação da Cidadania, in Rio de Janeiro. The Biennial, which happened this year, celebrates the best of national design within the 2013-2014 biennium.The Biennial is a space for graphic design experts to reflect upon their achievements, discuss their directions and trace plans, proposing an intensive dialogue with innovation, entrepreneurship, culture, economic development, sustainability and society. Since its first edition (1992), the Biennial brought together about 2,800 design projects to an audience estimated at nearly 300,000 people from 50 countries.
