Debate to address data protection in public and private spaces
Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Center of Politics and Economics of the Public Sector (FGV CEPESP) will hold a free webinar on Thursday, November 19 about Data Protection in Public and Private Spaces. The event will be broadcast on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 2 pm.

The event will look at the limits on data processing by the public authorities, especially considering the case of procurement involving private sector agents. It will also analyze how to uphold the rights of data owners and data protection principles in a public-private environment.
Talks will be given by Natalia Langenegger, a lawyer who specializes in personal data protection; Patricia Ellen, the Sao Paulo state government development secretary; Clarissa Marques França, a board member of the Sergipe chapter of the Brazilian Bar Association and also a board member of AqualtuneLab; and Jamila Venturini, the regional coordinator of Derechos Digitales.
