Delegation from the Professional Master's in Law meets with the Minister of State of Singapore
Alvin Tan emphasized the importance of these exchanges in deepening friendship and economic and political cooperation with Brazil.
Mario Engler, coordinator of the Professional Master's program at the Law School of São Paulo (FGV Direito SP), and Professor Flavio Rubinstein led a group of 16 students from the program on an immersion trip to Singapore, which took place from January 22 to 26. On January 24, they were received by Alvin Tan, Minister of State of Singapore, who reported the meeting on his social media. The minister expressed his impression with the quality of the dialogue and information exchange with the Brazilian experts. The meeting was organized by NUS Law School.
Topics discussed ranged from monetary policy, industrial relations, Singapore's youth, and expectations regarding the future of economic relations between the Asian country and Brazil.
Alvin Tan emphasized the importance of these exchanges in deepening friendship and economic and political cooperation with Brazil. "We have much to collaborate on to foster greater growth in economic exchange, especially after the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Singapore and Mercosur," he said.
For Mário Engler, the experience of promoting a frank and direct debate with one of the highest political and economic authorities of a strategic country like Singapore provides students with the opportunity to incorporate practical demands into their studies that are vital for the development of Brazilian companies and Brazil.
