Digital and financial exclusion in Brazil is subject of webinar
On Friday, May 21, at 6 pm, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) will hold a free webinar about digital and financial exclusion in Brazil.
The speakers will be Leonardo Melo Lins, the research coordinator for ICT companies and service providers at Cetic.br; and Marcelo Henrique de Araújo, a researcher at FGVcemif and a professor. The moderator will be Ettore Oriol of Pural and FGVCemif.
The pandemic has intensified the use of digital platforms for purchases, payments and other everyday operations, increasing the impact of some people’s difficulties in accessing and using these tools. But what characterizes the digital divide in Brazil? Which people are excluded? What are their biggest difficulties in carrying out purchases, payments and other basic transactions online? The webinar will discuss these issues and present some research data.
