Digital transformation in sanitation sector discussed in webinar

On June 17, 2021, at 3pm, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) will hold a free webinar about digital transformation in the Brazilian sanitation sector.

The new regulatory framework is designed for regulatory agencies to be part of new “always-connected” systems, together with utility companies and customers, thereby linking the sector’s stakeholders for the first time. The aim of the webinar is to discuss the financial, image, regulatory and above all operational impacts of the application of technology in the Brazilian water and sewage industry.

How can we tackle Brazil’s circumstances in the short and medium term, without 5G and the internet of things, amid the transition from the Baby Boomer Generation to the Millennial Generation, in one of the country’s most outdated infrastructure sectors?

The speakers will be Keith Hays, vice president and co-founder of Bluefield Research, and Luiz Fernando Santos Reis, the CTO of Waterfy Participações. The moderator will be Professor Gesner Oliveira, the coordinator of FGV’s Center for Infrastructure and Environmental Solutions.
