DIREITO RIO debates Human Rights politics in India

Professors of DIREITO RIO, Thiago Bottino and Paula Spieler, travelled to India to attend the World Conference of IALS (International Association of Law Schools) held from March 6 to 8 in the city of Mysore. The conference theme this year was The role of Law Schools and Human Rights. Bottino discussed the contribution of law schools to public policies in human rights defense, by sharing the table with professors of universities from South Africa, Estonia and Malaysia. Paula presented her paper The Human Rights Clinic of FGV Direito Rio: an innovative experience in Brazil. Her lecture addressed the innovative experience of DIREITO RIO in human rights: the development of Amicus Curiae to the Committee and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. To learn more about the conference, please visit the official website.
