EAESP professor analyzes the entrepreneurship phenomenon in Israel

During the entrepreneurial mission in Israel - a program developed by São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV/EAESP) - Professor Tales Andreassi analyzed the entrepreneurship phenomenon in the country, also known as start-up nation, thanks to thousands of technology start-ups rising there in recent years.Tales says in his column for the newspaper Folha de São Paulo that the base of the entrepreneurial spirit is built yet in the Army - required for most Israelis, men and women. According to him, in the Army young people already develop skills such as leadership, technology, teamwork and risk tolerance. Besides that, there's the great support of the Israeli government to private incubators.However, the professor says that the policies developed by the country to receive and integrate nearly 1 million Russians coming from the former Soviet Union - including scientists with excellent training - to the productive system called its attention even more.He believes that this contribution was crucial for Israel to become a 'start-up nation, and that Brazil should also develop policies to welcome professionals scarce in the country, instead of placing inexplicable barriers to prevent them from working here.
