The Base of the Pyramid Program of the Center of Excellence in Retail (GVcev) of FGV's São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV/EAESP) is the only Brazilian laboratory that participates in the BoP Lab Network - global network of organizations that research the consumption of low-income classes. And, for this reason, it will participate in the Global Network of Economics Forum along the Base of the Pyramid (BoP), which will take place on November 7th-8th, in São Paulo. The Forum will give continuity to the Cornell Global Forum on Sustainable Enterprise (held in New York in 2009), in which entrepreneurs and corporations shared experience, explored opportunities and challenges along the base of the pyramid and developed new partnerships and networks for future business initiatives in this environment. The first BoP Learning Lab began in the United States as a consortium of companies, NGOs, entrepreneurs, multilateral organizations and academics that worked to discover and implement business solutions to global poverty.Created in 2000, today it includes laboratories located in 18 countries, dedicated to the production and dissemination of information on the theory and practices regarding sustainable business at the base of the economic pyramid. Please click here to learn more about EAESP's Center of Excellence in Retail (in Portuguese)You can also learn about the Global Network of Economics along the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) (in Portuguese)
