EBAPE's students learn about the tender process at the Public Prosecution Office of Rio de Janeiro

Students of the 7th semester of FGV's Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV/EBAPE) explored a different experience: they visited the headquarters of the Public Prosecution Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro (MP-RJ), in the City Center of Rio de Janeiro, where they attended the Trading Day No. 009/2013 - which determined the company responsible for the publication of the journal of the institution for the next six editions.Each step of the event was explained by the auctioneer to students of the School, who follow the dispute among the five bidding companies in the bids phase until the end of trading, with the announcement of the winner.For Sávio, the activity was essential to deepen the principles that govern Public Administration. All the public documents of this bidding process' procedure were previously made available to the students so that they could become aware of the details and the essential procedural requirements inherent to contract with the Public Power. It is very important that students have this practical view of theoretical concepts discussed during the discipline, he said.The visit is part of the Public Policy and Tender Process course, taught by Professor Sávio Bittencourt, and its objective is to present the concepts discussed in the classroom through the daily life of the Brazilian public sector.
