EESP welcomes emerging markets specialist of the World Bank

During the occasion, the economist Otaviano Canuto - who also has been vice president of the Bank, Head of the Poverty Reduction Network and the institution's secretary for international affairs at the Brazilian Ministry of Finance - launched the book Dealing with the Challenges of Macro Financial Linkages in Emerging Markets.

Today, São Paulo School of Economics held a lecture on emerging markets and the global economy to the BRICS with the senior advisor of the Department of Economies under Development of the World Bank, Otaviano Canuto.During the occasion, the economist - who also has been vice president of the Bank, Head of the Poverty Reduction Network (PREM), and the institution's secretary for international affairs at the Brazilian Ministry of Finance - launched the book Dealing with the Challenges of Macro Financial Linkages in Emerging Markets, which also discusses existing policies in these countries to cope with systemic risks.  The work is part of the collection A World Bank Study, which also includes three other volumes related to renewable energy, corruption, regulation and governance in various regions of the world.The lecture began at 11 am and took place at the auditorium of the School.Please click here and access the publication on the World Bank's website.
