Emerging democratic powers are topic of CPDOC's lecture
FGV's Center of International Relations, based at the School of Social Sciences (CPDOC), will hold a debate next week about Brazil, India, Indonesia and Turkey, with Daniel Kliman - senior adviser of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) in Washington, DC.
Daniel Kliman is head of the Global Swing States project, which focuses on four emerging democratic powers (Brazil, India, Indonesia and Turkey) and seeks to answer if they will strengthen the existing international order. He is also the head of the Young Strategists Forum, which aims to mobilize a new generation of strategic thinkers in the United States, in Europe and in other countries with similar interests. Kliman graduated from Stanford University and got his PhD from Princeton University.
The lecture, which will be taught in English without simultaneous translation, will take place on August 15th at 4 pm, in room 1013 at FGV's headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro. There's no need to register beforehand.
