EPGE welcomes students from the University of Copenhagen
On October 22, EPGE welcomed a group of 30 Danish students, from undergraduate and graduate courses, from the department of Economics of the University of Copenhagen. The visit is part of a trip with academic purposes, held once every semester by the students' own initiative, with support from the university. The choice of Brazil as a destination is given by the interest in its recent economic prosperity, with a focus on the obstacles already overcome and the challenges to be overcome. The students were welcomed by the EPGE's director, Professor Rubens Penha Cysne, who gave them a warm welcome and spoke about the economic history of the Americas, with an emphasis on Brazil. Next the graduation coordinator, Professor André Villela, presented a brief history, with facts and statistics, about FGV and the School. In the end, Professor Renato Fragelli talked about the aspects of the Brazilian economy and answered questions from the group. The closing reception took place with a site visit to the School, coordinated by the International Relations sector. The trip of the students ended a 10-day tour around the country which also included meetings in public and private companies, and in the Brazil-Denmark Chamber of Commerce. FGV was the only higher education institution visited by the group.
