Event debates regulation, democracy and sovereignty at national and international levels
The aim of the meeting is to discuss the latest proposals for regulation and public policies regarding artificial intelligence.

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Rio de Janeiro Law School is holding an event called “AI Regulation, Democracy and Sovereignty” in FGV’s main building in Rio de Janeiro. The aim of the meeting is to discuss the latest proposals for regulation and public policies regarding artificial intelligence, considering its impacts on democracy, the economy and the digital sovereignty of Brazil and its main international partners. This public event will take place on April 24 at 9 a.m.
At the meeting, a group of leading national and international experts will analyze different regulatory models that have been proposed and debate key topics, including the use of AI to combat disinformation and public policies needed to build solid foundations for sovereignty in the field of AI.
