A few days before the American presidential election, which has been fiercely contested and has multiple implications for the state of democracy across the world, Daniel Weitzel, a professor at Colorado State University and visiting researcher at FGV RI, will analyze real-time data to examine global trends involving democratization and retraction of democracy. His presentation will look at the role of the media, the legislative branch, local politics, parties and voters in a highly complex context.
After the event, there will be a coffee break and an opportunity for participants to talk to the speaker and the professors on FGV RI’s new Professional Master’s in International Relations Program.
