Event focuses on innovation, creativity and competition law
The Nucleus for Competition, Public Policy, Innovation and Technology Studies (COMPPIT) at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo Law School, in partnership with the University of Sao Paulo Law School in Ribeirão Preto, is holding a meeting to discuss interfaces between innovation, creativity and competition law.
The aim of the event is to reflect on the need for a broader understanding of innovation in competition policy, which is not only concerned with the development of new products, but also with the creative process that enables a variety of contributions for industry. The participants will also look at the impact that changes in business models and digital markets have on creativity and innovation.
Speakers
Caio Mario da Silva Pereira Neto, a professor at the FGV Sao Paulo Law School and the coordinator of COMPPIT, will give the opening remarks and moderate the event. The guest speakers will be Professor Magali Eben of the University of Glasgow, Professor Juliana Domingues of the University of Sao Paulo Law School in Ribeirão Preto, Professor Rodrigo Fialho Borges of the FGV Sao Paulo Law School, and Professor Anna Lygia da Costa Rego, also of the FGV Sao Paulo Law School.
