Event hosts CEOs of railroad and auto part companies in Campinas

FGV Executive Education in Campinas recently hosted a meeting of the Campinas HR Group. The event was attended by the CEOs, CFOs and HR directors of industrial companies that have plants and other operations in the metropolitan region of Campinas and the surrounding area.
Rogério Mori, a professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP), gave a speech about the current international economic situation, its impacts on the domestic economy and Brazil’s economic prospects in 2023.
The meeting’s participants included Mauro Dias Ferreira, the CEO of auto part maker Valeo; and Eduardo Scolari, the CEO of Greenbrier Maxion, which has the largest railroad operation in South America. The latter discussed Brazil’s new regulatory framework for railroads, which is expected to boost investment in the sector and help modernize it.
Other participants included the CFOs of pharmaceutical company Farmax, bioscience firm CHR-Hansen and animal nutrition company De Heus Brasil, as well as the HR directors of Arcor, Hitachi Automotive, John Deere, Pirelli Pneus, Primient and Grupo Petrópolis, among other industrial companies. In all, the event brought together 40 HR directors across various sectors.
FGV’s Campinas campus is located in Royal Palm Hall, one of the most modern convention centers in Latin America.
