Event presents overview of labor laws’ challenges and advances in last 80 years

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo Law School is holding a seminar called “Labor Law Challenges and Advances in the 80 Years Since the Consolidated Labor Laws Came into Force.” This public event will take place on May 25, at 7 pm, and on May 26, at 9 am, in the school’s auditorium.
The goal is to understand the past, evaluate the present and predict the future in this important area of law. On Thursday, May 25, at 7 pm, the speakers will be Luciana Freire, legal executive director of the Sao Paulo State Federation of Industry (FIESP); Professor Luciano Timm of the FGV Sao Paulo Law School; Evelyn Barreto, an expert with a doctorate in law; and legal director Fabio Cunha.
On Friday, May 26, starting at 9 am, speeches will be given by Justice André Mendonça of the Federal Supreme Court; labor judge Ana Luíza Fischer; Cassio Borges, legal director of the National Confederation of Industry; and Henrique Lenon, a specialist with a doctorate in law from the University of Sao Paulo.
