Excellence in teaching: FGV maintains leadership in Brazilian Ministry of Education ranking
FGV’s Schools have maintained the first places in the 2016 General Course Index (IGC). Released on November 27, the index features FGV’s EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (EPGE) ranking first in the country, followed by FGV’s Sao Paulo School of Economics (EESP) in second place. The national top 10 ranking also features FGV’s School of Social Sciences (CPDOC), which gained one position compared to the 2015 IGC and now ranks sixth.
In addition to the Schools in the top 10 ranking, FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) and Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) also reached the highest score (5). FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School (Direito Rio) and Sao Paulo Law School (Direito SP), achieved a good grade, with a score of 4.
The Anísio Teixeira National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (INEP) of the Ministry of Education (MEC) publishes the IGC annually. The index considers the average grades of each institution’s undergraduate and graduate courses. The index is the result of the evaluation of public and private institutions in the fields of exact sciences, humanities, and biological sciences.
