FGV and the Court of Appeals of the State of Rio de Janeiro sign cooperation agreement

Fundação Getulio Vargas - through the School of Applied Mathematics (FGV/EMAp) - signed on October 29th a technical, academic, scientific and technological cooperation agreement, with the Court of Appeals of the State of Rio de Janeiro (TJ-RJ), in order to produce common knowledge.EMAp's director, Professor Maria Izabel Camacho, states that the partnership offers advantages for both parties. For the TJ-RJ, there's the possibility to anticipate more accurately the litigious behavior in the State and strategically plan the allocation of resources. FGV, on the other hand, will provide a broad agenda of quantitative research regarding the legal process and access to justice, explains Maria Izabel.With the data extracted from the systems of TJ-RJ, EMAp will analyze and discuss solutions and methods to problems raised during the study.The duration of the cooperation agreement is five years, deferrable.Please click here to learn about FGV's School of Applied Mathematics.
