FGV and the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rio de Janeiro hold seminar for the 25 years of the Brazilian Constitution

FGV Projetos - in partnership with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rio de Janeiro - will offer on October 14 the seminar 25 years of the Brazilian Constitution and the New Constitutional Order. The meeting will bring together authorities and scholars who experienced the changes through which the Brazilian Constitutional Law has been through over the past 25 years, in order to discuss its evolution, based on the Constitution promulgated in 1988.The seminar will be attended by the Ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Ricardo Lewandowski and Carlos Ayres Britto; the Minister of the Superior Labor Court (TSE) Luciana Lossio, the former senator of the Republic, Bernardo Cabral; the State Attorney General of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Marfan Martins Vieira; the professor of Università Degli Studi Roma TER Luigi Ferrajoli; the professor of the University of Coimbra, Jónatas Machado, among other experts and representatives of the Public Prosecution Office, the Federal Supreme Court of the State of Rio de Janeiro (TJ-RJ), the Public Defender's Office and lawyers.The topics addressed will include the participative management of the civil society, the promotion and protection of fundamental rights and the role of the Public Prosecution Office in defense of citizenship. In addition, new approaches will be exposed on the importance of constitutional justice and its consequences for the next century. The event, which will be held in Portuguese, is free and open to the public, but spaces are limited.
