In June, FGV's international director Bianor Cavalcanti, and the manager of FGV's International Affairs Division (DINT), Luiz Estevam Gonçalves, attended a joint congress of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA).  The conference was organized by the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), in collaboration with IIAS and IASIA.  Bianor Cavalcanti took part of the panel Open Track with the research paper Democracy and Development - Brazil's Public Choices, in which he mentions the main instances implemented after the establishment of the 1988 Constitution. According to the professor, such instances - classified into economic-financial, social and political-institutional - have paved the way to achieve very significant advances for the Brazilian reality, as well as to make the democratic process stronger and consolidated.   Cavalcanti also attended the IIAS Study Group on Quality of Governance - Challenges for Good Governance.  The conference IIAS-IASIA took place at the Gulf Convention Center in the city of Manama, in Bahrain.  * In the picture, professor Bianor's presentation at the congress
