FGV DAPP hosts federal representative Alessandro Molon in webinar about open data and Digital Government Law

Seeking to encourage new public management practices through increased data transparency and openness, various open government and digital government initiatives have been carried out in Brazil, reflecting current social demands and how they are regulated. This topic will be discussed in the first edition of a series of webinars called Transparency and Open Government, which Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Department of Public Policy Analysis (FGV DAPP) will hold on July 13, 2021, at 2 pm, on FGV’s YouTube channel. Federal representative Alessandro Molon, the author of Brazil’s Digital Government Law, which was approved in March of this year, will be one of the speakers.

This first webinar will look at the Digital Government Law’s implications at federal level and its relationship with the proposed Open Data Law, currently before the House of Representatives. The other speakers will be two professors on FGV DAPP’s Executive Education in Transparency and Open Government Program, Otávio de Castro Neves and Wagner Oliveira, as well as the director of data agency Fiquem Sabendo, Maria Vitória Ramos.
