FGV debates humanitarian interventions and internet governance, in New York

The coordinator of FGV's Center for International Relations, Elena Lazarou, and the manager of the Center for Technology and Society (CTS) of FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School, Marília Maciel, were in New York for the 3rd Annual Conference of the Council of Councils - promoted by the independent American think-tank Council on Foreign Relations along with twenty-four other global think tanks, including FGV, the only institution representing South America.
This year, the conference brought to discussion topics such as global finance, global health issues, climate change, and development of drones, humanitarian interventions and Internet governance. Elena and Marília talked about the last two subjects, respectively.
The Council of Councils also takes place in regional editions. The last one took place in Mexico City in November and it was co-organized by the Presidency and FGV's International Relations Center. The objective was to analyze the future of the Americas in global governance.
