FGV discusses development of Latin America in Congress in Colombia

More than 1,800 public officials, academics and consultants in Latin America met in Cartagena, Colombia, for the annual congress of Centro Latinoamericano de Administración para el Desarrollo (CLAD), which was held from October 30 to November 2 with the theme State Reform and Public Administration. FGV was represented by several researchers and students of the business schools in Rio and São Paulo, as well as the Latin American Public Policy Center. The professor Paul Motta (EBAPE) delivered the opening speech of CLAD, Managing for the new development: proposals and ideas in search of relevance. The congress was organized by CLAD together with the Colombian government and the Escuela Superior de Administración Pública of Colombia, with the sponsorship of the Brazilian government, the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB), the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), the UN, and the Secretaría General Iberoamericana. On the photo, the professors Fátima Bayma (EBAPE) and Regina Silvia Pacheco (EAESP), and also Bianor Cavalcanti and Marlos Lima (both from DINT).
