FGV EBAPE’s international excellence recognized by EFMD as EQUIS accreditation is renewed

Because of the quality and excellence of the academic programs offered by Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration, its EQUIS-EFMD international accreditation has just been renewed.

According to Professor Flavio Vasconcelos, the dean of FGV EBAPE, this result demonstrates the school’s commitment to global excellence in administration education, its prestigious research and highly qualified faculty. This achievement also reflects its strong culture of teamwork, involving contributions by its students, alumni and institutional partners.

At the end of 2019, EQUIS-EFMD’s international accreditation committee visited FGV EBAPE and, after several days of meetings and evaluations together with leaders, professors, students and alumni, it decided to renew the school’s accreditation. FGV EBAPE is the only education institution in Rio de Janeiro and one of just four in Brazil to have EQUIS-EFMD accreditation – one of the world’s foremost types of certifications for business schools.

“We were delighted to receive the news of our EQUIS reaccreditation from EFMD, the leading European accreditation organization for business and administration schools. This accreditation provides international recognition of FGV EBAPE’s commitment to the continual pursuit of excellence in teaching and research in these areas, which in turn is reflected in the final results of different organizations and their more ethical and responsible social deliveries,” said FGV EBAPE’s international accreditation coordinator, Professor Yuna Fontoura.

FGV EBAPE has had this accreditation since 2014. It is only granted to institutions that meet the most demanding international standards of quality in administration education and research.
