FGV EPGE holds open day for Professional Master’s in Economics and Finance

On August 3, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE) will hold an open day for its Professional Master’s in Economics and Finance. The informative event will let prospective candidates learn about the course’s new Focused Modular format and how it differs from the traditional Regular format, the different research areas and the course’s professors. They will also be able to obtain more detailed information about the program. The event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 7 pm. Registration is free.

The open day’s participants will include Bruno Barsanetti, of the Department of Economics, Graduate School of Business, Northwest University and a professor for FGV EPGE’s Professional Master’s in Economics and Finance. Three professors on the program, who are also researchers at FGV CERI – Edson Daniel Lopes Gonçalves, Pedro Henrique Engel Guimarães and Rafael Martins de Souza – will also take part. The moderators will be the course’s two coordinators: Ricardo Cavalcanti and Joisa Dutra, the director of FGV CERI.

The aim of the Professional Master’s in Economics and Finance is to provide a solid education by using the most advanced economic and finance theories to explore current issues involving the financial markets, business organizations, economic policy and related areas. The course’s new Focused Modular format features classes mediated by technology and in-person classes once every two months, allowing flexibility to let students balance their work and academic activities.
