FGV EPGE professor elected Fellow of International Association of Applied Econometrics (IAAE)
Professor Joao Victor Issler of Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE) was elected a Fellow of the International Association of Applied Econometrics (IAAE) in October 2021. IAAE, recognized as the world’s foremost applied econometrics association, publishes the Journal of Applied Econometrics.
Issler is one of the most active Brazilian researchers in the areas of econometrics, macroeconomics and finance. He is a 1A CNPq researcher and certified Rio de Janeiro State Research Foundation (FAPERJ) scientist. He is a former coordinator of the National Institute for Science and Technology (INCT). He has authored several well-known Brazilian studies about economics academic output and citations.
