FGV holds series of webinars on high school education and National Curriculum
On December 1, 3, 9 and 16, FGV Executive Education, FGV High School and the FGV Center for the Development of Public Management and Educational Policy (FGV DGPE) will hold a series of webinars called “High School Education: Digital Resources and the National Curriculum.” During the events, guest specialists will discuss recent changes to the National Curriculum in the areas of science, mathematics, languages and humanities.
The series will reinforce the content provided in eight online courses in the areas of education and humanities. This content is offered free of charge on FGV’s executive education website. Each course lasts one hour and you can print out a declaration of participation at the end.
There will be four webinars on different dates, all broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel. On the first day (December 1), the subject will be Digital Resources and Mathematics Education in Light of the National Curriculum. The participants will be Carlos Eduardo Mathias Motta, an associate professor at Fluminense Federal University’s Applied Mathematics Department; Katia Stocco Smole, the president of CEESP’s Basic Education Chamber; and Antônio Amaral, a mathematics teacher at a state government school in Piauí. The moderator will be Professor Eduardo Mendes of FGV EMAp.
The webinar on December 3 will address Digital Resources and Science Education in Light of the National Curriculum. The speakers will be Ana Paula Cleto Marolla, distance education course analyst for the continuing education of educators at the Sao Paulo State Teacher Training College (EFAP) and national higher education evaluator for the Education Ministry’s National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (INEP); and Carlos Magno Sampaio, who has been a basic education teacher for more than 20 years. The moderator will be Carlos Eduardo Bielschowsky, an associate professor at Rio de Janeiro Federal University’s Chemistry Institute.
The topic of the third webinar, on December 9, will be Digital Resources and Language Education in Light of the National Curriculum. The meeting will feature Raquel Villardi, an associate professor at Rio de Janeiro State University; and Ivan Claudio Pereira Siqueira, the president of the National Education Council’s Basic Education Chamber from 2018 to 2020. The moderator will be Cláudia Capello, the superintendent of FGV IDE’s Quality Certification Program.
On the last day, December 16, the subject will be Digital Resources and Humanities Education in Light of the National Curriculum. The debaters will be Mariana Gonçalves Guglielmo, a researcher at FGV High School; and Cristina Meneguello, the founder and vice president of the Brazilian Committee for the Conservation of Industrial Heritage. The moderator will be Professor Marieta Ferreira, the executive director of FGV Press, part of the FGV Library System, who is also the coordinator of the FGV High School Program.
