FGV hosts Second Annual Mediation and Arbitration Conference
The second edition of this conference will focus on economic factors and the relevance of out-of-court mechanisms such as mediation, arbitration and dispute boards for the development of Brazil’s business environment.
The FGV Mediation and Arbitration Chamber is holding the Second Annual Mediation and Arbitration Conference on June 7, at 8:30 a.m., at the FGV Cultural Center in Rio de Janeiro. In the morning, there will be three panel discussions to debate key topics regarding out-of-court dispute resolution.
The second edition of this conference will focus on economic factors and the relevance of out-of-court mechanisms such as mediation, arbitration and dispute boards for the development of Brazil’s business environment. Accordingly, the event will feature several economists, including Joísa Dutra, director of the FGV Center for Regulation and Infrastructure Studies (FGV CERI).
In turn, legal aspects will be addressed by public officials including Superior Court of Appeals justices Ricardo Vilas Boas Cueva and Teodoro Silva Santos, Justice Antônio Anastasia of the Federal Audit Court, appeal court judge Monica de Piero, appeal court judge Agostinho Teixeira and Espírito Santo state attorney Santo Igor Gimenes Alvarenga, together with renowned experts such as Ivan Nunes Ferreira, Gilberto Giusti, Juliana Bumachar, Matheus Teodoro Ramsey and Fernanda Bragança.
